The University of Wisconsin-Platteville student chapter of Engneers Without Borders-USA (EWB-UWP) holds regular meetings on a weekly basis.

General Meetings

These meetings occur every other week and are typically on Tuesdays at 6:30pm in 124 Ottensman Hall. The meetings have pizza and soda at times while the President and executive boards presents updates on the chapter’s happenings. After the general update, committee chairs report on their previous meetings, and give members a preview of the work to be done at the upcoming meeting.

Committee Meetings

These meetings occur on the weeks in between the general meetings. The times and days for the Fall 2019 semester are:

Fundraising & Marketing Committee: Mondays 6:30pm, 123 Ottensman Hall

Grants Committee: Tuesdays 6:00pm, 123 Ottensman Hall

Projects Committee: Thursdays 6:30pm, 123 Ottensman Hall


Anyone can join EWB-UWP. Dues are collected on an annual basis with the membership period running September 1 – August 31. Dues are not prorated, discounted or refunded. Dues go toward paying the chapter’s yearly membership to EWB-USA. Below are some of the benefits:

  • Travel on trips with the team
  • Become a leader of EWB-UWP

To join

  1. Pay dues to the chapter Treasurer with either cash or a check made payable to EWB-UWP.
  2. Create a EWB-USA account here.
    1. You must associate yourself with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville student chapter
  3. Create a Google account here.
  4. After your EWB-USA account has been approved, create a Volunteer Village account here.

To maintain your membership, attend general meetings and committee meetings and volunteer at events.
